A Testimony of God's Amazing Grace
In 1986 Don Eskine had hit rock bottom. A life filled with drugs, violence, crime and total dissatisfaction had exacted a terrible toll on this man, both physically and spiritually. Broken dreams, broken homes, and broken hearts lay in jagged shards at the feet of this man. Most would have seen him as a throw-away or another lost cause--but somewhere in the darkness of this shattered life stoll a light slowly penetrating the darkness of this tormented soul.
It was during this time that Don found himself incarcerated in the Jefferson Parish Prison in New Orleans, Louisiana. While this was not his first scrape with the law--it would serve as a defining moment in his life and the catalyst for a transformation that could only be attributed to the grace and mercy of a Living God.

There awaiting trial on a burglary charge he spent his time shooting dice, playing cards, and watching television to just simply break the monotony of the day and to possibly distract him from another major problem that he was facing behind the rusted prison bars: an addiction to heroin. Little did he know that this time of being locked down would provide the opportunity for his physical body to detox so that the Holy Spirit could effectively speak and minister to the spiritual man.
One night there was a call on the cell block for those desiring to attend a church service. Never having an interest in church, Do decided to attend just for a momentary change of scenery. Two things would soon become evident: the change coming would not be momentary and would have nothing to do with his scenery!

Hearing the testimony of an 80 year old preacher and being moved by the words he spoke from the Word of God pierced Don's heart and caused him to began a quest to kow this "Jesus" for himself.
Devouring the scriputres day and night and expounding on the Word with other inmates, Don's ministry would truly begin that day. Not unlike the murderous "Saul" coming to the crossroads of his life on the road to Damascus and becoming the Apostle Paul--this two-bit criminal and drug addict would find himself intersecting at the point where his destiny criss-crossed the power of the Holy Spirit to save, transform and deliver!
Now having walked in the power and deliverance of the Lord Jesus Christ for over twenty years, this man of faith and compassion has seen God bring him a beautiful help mate in the ministry, Sabrina. He has built a successful transport business that he utilizes to finance various ministries and has place a powerful anointing upon his life to preach the Gospel without fear or compromise.
Pastor Don is an ordained minister with WME, a member of the Gideons, the founder of No Cross No Crown Ministries and the director of Raven Ministries Gulf Coast. A frequent speaker in churches and conferences, Pastor Don has not forgotten where God brought him from as he can regularly be found ministering to the lost, desperate and despised on the streets of this nation--taking the same message of hope, salvation and deliverance to them that was brought into that lonely prison cell over two decades ago.
